By any chance anyone have a front right F Sport strut/shock in Irvine for their 3IS? I stripped the thread installing my springs. I have a new strut on order at the dealer but if anyone has one locally I'll cancel my dealer order. I just need to get the car back on the road.

Silly me wasnt paying attention. There was surface rust on the strut shaft but I decided to thread the nut on anyway. Ruined the strut =(

I'd try retapping before just going out and buying a whole new strut. get a set of retapping dies from Harbor freight (or similar) and retap the tip. if the original size threads no longer hold properly, then tap one size down.
