UPDATE!

HUNTER GSP9700. Believe the hype.

Ok, so, I had vibrations at 70-80mph which I've tried to balance out with limited success a few times. Given that I was on my second set of wheels and tires with the same (though lessened) vibrations, I assumed that it was just something the car did, and there was nothing that I could do about it. WRONG!

I also never connected my vibration problem together with my high speed instability (wobbling, excessive tramlining, difficulty maintaining control above 60mph, etc). However, a road force balance done on a GSP9700 has taken away 90%+ of my problems! Yes, the steering is still too numb, too light and not as precise as I would prefer.....and yes it still doesn't handle like a porsche......however, I think some small suspension upgrades can significantly improve these weaknesses: springs+shocks or coilovers and good tires for sure, maybe some anti-sway bars, and a power steering ECU upgrade (not available yet, *hint hint* to L-Tuned or anyone else listening). This won't make it handle like a porsche by any stretch of the imagination, but you've got to be all you can be.

To put this in perspective, I had been poking around car classifieds thinking that I would have to sell this thing since something was wrong and no one had any idea what it was.

In Summary....road force balance on a hunter 9700 is worth the money if you think you might be experiencing similar issues. I will post back after awhile with updates to make sure nothing changes for the worse.

No, AWD offers better traction at the expense of increased weight which is detrimental to handling!

I wish I had a nickel for every time I've told someone exactly that.

Ok, update #2:

I may have slightly over-estimated the correction %; I would now say that it has fixed 75% of my problems. I'm going to get an alignment to see if I can correct some of the rest.
