Sending out the bat signal-Hawk's Nest Meet -Todd had an accident!!!
Anyone see the OCT/Nov issue of RIDES mag?? Todd's car and Dennis' SC (baby blue color with the kit) are thumbnailed on page 44. Pics were taked from HIN Belmont Park. Pretty much shows his car in the pic, but only a piece of the other SC. Took me a quick minute to realize who it belonged to. Pic was small, so I didnt think it would merit a thread. Just a quick mention.

What can I possibly say... I know it has been said before, but NELOC has always been more than a collection of LEXUS owners. We have become a group of close friends and family. I'll try to keep this post short before my keyboard drowns from tears of joy ...
The Hawks nest meet started very well, many new faces and we were all getting to know each other. OG's KevinGs and Greed77 made the trip that made the day extra special. The drive was beautiful, Carlos really picked a great location for the experience and photo opportunity.
As we drove the Haws Nest, everything seemed well. We were taking turns passes for the photo-ops. Carlos had noticed from our previous stop thatI was experiencing an oil leak, so I thought I would address it when we were on a flatter surface. I remember the entire drive throughout the my last turn. My car was performing very well, and I was just following new member (mr. Soarer) up the mountain. I guess I overcorrected on my last turn, the rear just got loose and it felt like I was sliding on glass toward the wall.
Right after I hit the wall, I was having hard time breathing. I put my head down to catch my breath. with in Seconds I head a voice yelling at me... "Todd, get out of the car" "It's on fire" . I looked up and it was Blair (1LoudLX). I immediately unbuckled my seat belt and unlocked my door. I threw my body against the door panel and it DIDNT open! I watched blair pull on the door without success. My heart just sank I was in no condition to jump over to the passenger compartment. Blair tried again but this time with success. I don't remember jumping out of the car but I do remember walking away from the crash.
I forever owe a debt of gratitude to (Blair) 1LOUDLX for performing up and above the situation.
The NELOC crew sprang into action once again. Cliff, Carlos accompanied Aimee to the scene, some other drivers were helping me stay conscious for EMT to arrive. From what I've heard the NELOC caravan gave the helicopter pilot a run for his money. Carlos had to stop for gas and still caught up to the caravan. Boost conquers all.
After arriving at the ER at St. Francis, I was put through a variety of tests x-rays, Cat-scan. A plastic surgeon was on staff to repair my lip. But to my delight my NELOC family was there to see me through the ordeal.

A special thanks to these friends they really gave me the strength to get through hardest hours of my ordeal.

Hope to see you make a fast recovery but definately take your time.
You had us all worried, just approaching that scene was a bit shaky seeing how bad the car looked and not knowing if you were still in it until we got closer (the smoke/flames didn't help much).
I was much relieved to see you talking at the hospital, that and hearing that your tests results came back negative were a big relief.
Wish you a quick recovery

-Flavio
Regardless of the experiences we had with each other, the ups and downs, dramas and whatnots, our friendship is what bonds us so deeply. I've read every post and everyone's heart felt wishes, it was overwhelming.
Craig and Kim who was not able to come to hospital because they have a long way going home. Craig thank you for calling me and wishing me well while I was in the hospital. Kim I apologize that you got stuck at the bottom of the hill because of me.
TSV Crew - Thank you for rolling with us, we had a great time. I appreciate all the support. Our groups will continue to grow.
Theo, Joe, Yat, Ting- Thank you for attempting to join the caravan going to the hospital (don't worry guys, its the thought that really counts).
Timer didnt get a chance to talk to but I look forward to talking to you on our next meeting.
CARLOS- Carlos, Carlos, Carlos…. What else can I say about Carlos that has not been said already?!? We should award Carlos with the fastest pit stop ever recorded in the NELOC Caravan.
. Life comes full circle, deja vous runs deep. We need to end this cycle of having meets at the hospital.CLIFF- I love you man! You've always been the voice of reason within the turmoil of anarchy.Your strength and level-headedness has been an inspiration.
Cliff and Carlos thank you for taking care of Aimee and giving her the strength to get through this whole ordeal while maintaining the leadership.
And to the rest of my NELOC family- I want to make a special shout-out to Tony (NyAristo) for keeping it real, and valuing our friendship. Tony (Truckn) for showing his love and support both on and off the forum. And of course my High Society brothers in arms, MrMark and Leroy, your wishes are well received. We will all be getting together shortly after my recovery.
As far as my current condition, I have been diagnosed with
A bilateral fracture in my nose
A fractured Sternum
A fractured wrist
6 broken ribs
Plus multiple contusions
Recovery time is estimated at 6 months and physical therapy will be needed until then. Most of my injuries were attributed to the seat belt retraction, but I'm more happy to be here than the injuries that I received.
I will ask 1 favor from everyone, please make an effort for us to get together soon. It would help my recovery immensely to see everyone before the holiday season starts.
God bless everyone.
P.S.
Next time we get together.... Let the women drive and the men take the pictures.

,,, sad part was I knew that but typed it wrong. Was looking at the Belmont HIN thread and viewing the pics and typing this at the same time. Anyway,, damn multitasking!!! LOL!!!!!
