Just curious, what is the point in having these if you have fog lights?

also, how do you connect them? Splice with the fog wires?

You can wire and run these independently as pictured or to your fogs if you want. the point? there really isnt a specific point just Extra Lighting and able to run this standalone which you cant do with your OEM fogs unless you splice and cut wires.
