I bought the complete diff carrier off mikellucci to swap out the giken unit (G-unit haha) and have been meaning to post the rest of what I'm not using. The diff was setup by os giken, the pinion was not altered at all just pulled the lsd and have yet to remove the ring gear. The snap ring bearing retainers are in place where they came from to insure alignment if you get a aftermarket lsd you "could" drop it right in (user discretion is advised due to variations of products of different manufacturers). The gears are clean, the inside is clean (still oily and has been kept indoors inside a bag in side of a plastic tote. I have no use for it and it is a perfect setup to buy and swap to minimize down time on your is350. I think $250 is a fair price, Price of shipping will vary but should be anymore than $50 to most places
Just to add to the thread, YES...this was a carrier shipped over to US from Japan by OS Giken. So you can be confident the tolerances/clearances were professionally measured when the LSD was originally installed AND ran. The owner BEFORE me was the actual user of the LSD diff, and he used the expensive OSG fluid as recommended. Upon my receipt of the diff originally, I popped it open and inspected it; minimal metal shavings were found.
