The 2012 headlights have white LED's as well as the inside being a shiny black

The 2011 headlights have dull yellow LED's

FALSE INFO

2011 LED's are pure white. 2012's have a slight blue 'hue' to them. I've installed over 3 sets of each for locals. I myself prefer 2011's. 2011's have no 'eyebrows' like the 12's do.

Hmmm in any case the 2011's aren't white enough for me and I"m guessing I'm not the only one who thinks that because Sewell made a big point in mentioning that the 2012's are "much whiter" in the link I provided but to each his own I suppose thanks.

The 2012 lights are indeed white, and have never appeared to have any hint of yellow as I've seen with other cars/pics. With photographs, it typically depends on lighting and quality of the shooter, so it's tricky to photograph via phone, but the 2012 lights look great and are the ones you want.

Here are mine set to 100% output during peak sunlight, along with the "eyebrows" previously mentioned. They're subtle and shouldn't really influence your decision.

The eyebrows were added by Lexus to refract sunlight to avoid peeling and melting issues on the paint of the headlight hosuing that the 2011 headlights were known for... Despite Lexus' efforts there are documents (even on this forum) of 2012 lights ALSO melting/bubbling/peeling.

2012 lights are not brighter then 2011's. They both receive the same voltage input. Some (not me) classify the 2012's as more appealing because they have a slight blue "HUE" to them. In fact my girl prefers 2012 lights due to the blue hue and giving the illusion that they're brighter (in her mind). I prefer pure white with no blue hue. The blue hue that I mention is ONLY present when parked next to a owner of 2011 headlights and both the headlights are on side by side.

Thanks bro good info I think I will still get the 2012's because I'm running 8000k low beams and 8000k fogs so hopefully a closer match however I may consider 6000k but we will see.
