Got any additional details about that OBD scanner? It appear to be a USB cable; so it'll be for use only with a laptop? What software specifically comes with it and have you previouslly installed it?

Correct its the kind you use with a laptop. I dont know much about it its sealed, I never got around to use it on my 2IS but its the same one people on hear ordered online that took a few weeks to arrive. Do a search on it and you should find some more info.

It is not exactly an OBD-II scanner, but an aftermarket Mini-VCI USB cable to run TIS Techstream on their laptop with. I have the same cable and it work wonders on accessing the ECU for vehicle information and perform customisations (to turn off DRL, program keys, etc).

^thanks guys! I initially bought it to disable DRLs and to program my new wheels. But with work being crazy I ended up just doing both at the dealer at a discount during a lunch break.

All PMs and emails replied. I will work deals with people buying multiple items.

So with the disk/software provided you are able to access the 2IS personalization settings and make changes? Example, disabiling DRLs? What about checking CELs and codes?

Yes to DRLs and other personalized settings (headlight timing / sensitivity, etc...) I'm pretty sure you can also use it to check CEL and codes but have never used the software to do it before. (easier to just plug in a scanner if you have one rather than bring your laptop to the car)
