no it lies to the car is what it does. if you gas it, say, 30%, it'll basically tell the car you pressed it 50% or something. you can achieve the same results by pressing the gas down harder...

Also, there's no "delay" in the factory throttle mapping. The throttle controller just amplifies the throttle signal.
Finally, it doesn't improve acceleration because you're not gaining power. WOT is WOT, regardless of whether there is a throttle controller. Please stop giving false info.
