People say that with the hub it pushes the wheel out a bit... Changing the wheel offset? Not really sure...

That is correct, about 5 mm out each side and I think that is the correct way to upgrade

Thanks for the help... I don't think there is a correct an incorrect way of upgrading this kit... I've heard a few having the hub and a few not having it... So idk...
