Heat caused it broken? Never heard of that. Did u spray cold water on while it was hot? Even so it hardly could get broken.
Search craigslist. OE is like >$700

Check with your insurance first, mine covers it, no deductible and up to 2 a year.

Well how much would they cover for the aftermarket? Couldn't you have them write you out the check and you cover the rest for the OE?

all oem windshields are expensive. thats why most insurance will only cover up yo 500 dollars to cover aftermarket windshields.

they're expensive cuz they come coated with this water repellant. if you buy aftermarket the water droplets stick to the windshield and dont fly off like before.

yeah OEM is expensive i had my IS front replaced and it has the rain sensor which can only be order by the dealer. so that were they had to get mine from took couple weeks. after installing there was a chip in it. they tried to buff it out and i wasnt happy with the work. so the guy who installed it had to take the hit on that cost and they had to reorder another one from lexus. but here were i live it covered under insurance 100% no charge

My insurance covered OEM for my Audi. Mainly because the glass shop called and asked if they(Audi parts) could price match.... They couldn't exactly, but came down enough to get it under the dollar amount authorized by the insurance folks.

Just an FYI...

I Went to the Dealer Wanted $1400 DAMN IT ---

Called a Few Local Shops, and got quoted for about $220-$300.

What do you guys think?

is it better to just do a Aftermarket for about $280 with a Rain sensor?
Will it make a difference?

Why do you have to replace the rain sensor? After I replaced mine with after market we reused the same one and had no trouble. I just don't believe in paying $1400 for an OEM when this stuff will happen sooner or later again.

This maybe the case but aftermarket absolutely made no difference than the OEM.

Yall do realize the rain sensor is located on the right side slightly next to the rear view mirror. The rain sensor is not built in the windshield lol

Yeah I know it not build in I ain't a dummy. It were the mount on the Windshield that is the reason they didn't have a cheap window. And to be honest I'm happy I go an oem one any ways that what i pay the insurance for. The choice between oem and after market at no cost to me oem all day
