CarPC Setup with Screen
Computer Specs:
Intel D945GCLF2D Mini ITX Mobo
Kingston ValueRAM PC2-5300 2GB RAM
Seagate Momentus 7200.4 320GB 2.5IN Hard Drive
M3-ATX, 125w output, 6v to 24v wide input Intelligent Automotive DC-DC Car PC Power Supply
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
MINI-BOX M350 MINI-ITX Case & AC power supply (to use a home)
6.95" Double DIN Touch Screen Monitor
Molded into the Scosche dash kit for the 2nd gen GS
Comes with all the cables I used like VGA, USB extension and 3.5mm RCA for audio. The pc is already installed with the Ride Runner carpc software with the eLite skin. Screenshots below:
If you want navigation, you can install iGuidance nav software. If you want OBD software, you can use Dash Command.
You will need a USB GPS antenna for navigation and a USB OBD Scantool, both of which I will include.

$250 in total, $30 should cover shipping. Just the cost of having the touchscreen molded into the dash was more than $250, and the OBD scantool was $100. The automotive PSU was $70. Since the computer is older, I'm not going to charge anything for it. If anything, buy a new mini itx motherboard, use the same case/PSU and you'll have a new carpc. The PSU is able to survive engine cranks so it won't shut off the computer during startups.

Thanks guys. A CarPC is a nice thing to have. If you have a deck like I do, use the auxillary input for the audio out from the PC. Your music and videos can be stored on the pc. Even better, if you upgrade the motherboard to the new mini ITX stuff, they have built in wifi in them. Tether your smartphone's plan to the PC and you'll have a mobile media server to stream whatever you want from the internet.
