Default FS GS400 GS430 CAI custom Cold Air Intake AEM dryflow filter way better then K&N FIPK

I built this custom cold air intake as a better alternative to the other options out there. This intake sounds greats and gives a nice midrange/topend rush. The K&N FIPK doesn't compare as their filtration media is inferior and allows lots of silica into our engines. Believe me, I have done personal Blackstone Labs oil testing to confirm this and thats why the AEM is the better choice. With winter on the way this CAI is going to really work well and with a moderate driving style will even offer better mpg. I am only looking to free up some cash for some painting projects. Please email me snyderd22@yahoo.com and see All Pics. Thanks and I have some good seller feedback here and 10+ years on ebay so please feel confident.
And sorry for the poorly worded title. it should have read, AEM dryflow filter way better "than" K&N FIPK.

Price Lowered, Now Asking $150 SHIPPED! EDITED

What model did you have this installed on? Im guessing a 400. I dont think this will fit a 430 seeing as how my 430 has a different maf sensor than the one i see in your pictures

I think you are correct, the 430 uses a different maf, I was unaware of that. I apologize for my oversight. Well I guess this is only going to work on the 98-00 GS400's out there.
Now only if I could change my title to show this?
Thanks for pointing this out.

How loud as compared to the K&N FIPK. That setup was too loud for me. It looks like it would be quieter because of the filter location...

I am 34 and have two kids and like my cars to be quiet and run excellently, but this toyota V8 was just too quiet for me and I was actually hoping for some growl from this intake. Turns out it does add some noise but absolutely zero difference at idle or around the neighborhood at <25% throttle . Only at greater than ~60% throttle opening and further do you get some roar but even then it sounds really clean, not like the sound from a 60deg V-6 or disgusting like a inline 4. I was actually very pleased with the result as I didn't want the adults around me thinking I was some kinda ricer in my Lexus.

Absolutely No CEL. I think it has something to do with the AEM dry filter as opposed to the wet/oily K&N that usually end up on these CAI systems. The AEM is the only aftermarket conical filter I will ever use. I just wish AEM made them in OEM panel replacements!

If you are interested then please pm or email me and we can discuss.
I guess it really depends on shipping costs etc..

And to answer;

818GS, it is 3" I.D. through the MAF piping, then it opens up to 3.5" I.D towards and through the filter .
This allows more open space at the filter/low pressure end, then the airflow picks up velocity towards the TB/higher pressure end for good throttle response...it works very well. It's the same principle as the stock airbox, if you look at the cross section of the OEM snorkel entering the airbox it is very large and then through the panel and then through the MAF, things tighten up to increase airflow velocity.

tmf2004, thanks for the nice comment, I have always liked your rolling sig pic.

PRICE DROP $150 SHIPPED! You really can't go wrong at this price as the Non CAI FIPK systems are easily $100 more and have the inferior K&N filter element.
This true CAI setup is going to really give great HP/TQ and gas mileage with Winter Colder Temps on the way.
And to answer the most frequent question, this Filter is Like New as I drive <50 miles per week and its Washable anyway.
