WTS Nor Cal Any interest in a 185k motor and trans? 2000 GS300 ran great!
Just checking to see the interest, if there is any, for my 2000 gs300 stock motor and transmission. 185k Runs fine, transmission shifts great.
Motor is now out and on my garage floor. It's in the way. Make an offer!
I'm up in the Redding area, could deliver around sac or the bay area if someone paid for fuel.
Do people buy these motors, or should I just part out everything on it? I'll have the rest of the wiring, ecu, brake master / abs, etc available too.

Just a FYI. It's probably worth around $500 at best with that kind of mileage on it, and you mentioned that it is running a bit rough when cold. If you could get $300-500 for it, I would take the offer. I've bought a few motor/trans GE combos from people that did GTE swaps for around $500 with less than 100k on them. I use them as cores to build up something later on. Junkyards are of course going to try to sell it to you for $1k or so, but as individuals you're probably not going to get that much.
Try posting it on Craigslist in your area. There might be a local shop that needs to do a motor job on a stock GS. I would buy it from you, but freight is going to be pretty costly, so it's not really worth it if you add it all up. Your best bet is to try to sell local.

No excuses now! Motor is out and on my garage floor. I need to sell it, someone make me an offer!!! Need a transmission that works great? Need a motor as a core or a replacement for your blown engine? Here it is! If I need to part out the engine I will, let me know what you need. If I can make up enough value I'll do anything. I also have the stock differential available, as I just got an LSD unit from a supra.
