you guys asking about papers? i have an l-sportline and didn't get any real papers to prove anything. all i have is the box and the cheap and easily copied installation instructions. is that enough "paper?"

The instructions usually come on A3 paper...not 8.5" x 11". That's a definite giveaway. Also, on most quality body kits, they have serial numbered tags under (or on top) of the resin on the inside of the body kit (the part that you don't paint usually). That's how you can tell. It's always best to keep all that. That way, when you resell it, you have some proof.

Knock-off manufactures don't go through the trouble of doing all that. You should also get some other papers (like ad slicks) and sometimes stickers...

Some kits (like Wise Sports) come with emblems (similar to the ones you see on PC's for example but a different shape)...you know, the thick raised clear plastic emblems...

If it's a real kit for $600, that would be deal but I'm almost POSITIVE that it's fake...just because a shop gets/buys imported stuff doesn't mean they don't sell fake *****...that why you go with a shop or importer that has INTEGRITY so you don't have to worry about it (like Steve Ganz for example).

thanks for the followup manaray. my instructions are on A3 and folded so i guess that's good. also recall that the l-sportline logo molded into the inside of the front.
