For the OP that paid him for the lip, you know better for next time my dude...
I disagree with that, a business transaction should always hold true regardless of circumstances. If i was a mechanic and damaged your vehicle during a repair even if one of my family members or all burned & passed i doubt anyone would care period. they would want their vehicle repaired 100% to their satisfaction.

Indeed my dude, but dont you agree that the OP should have asked for sufficient pics of the said TTE lip as well rather than take a stranger's word for it... You missed my whole point Mike... Its all good though... I am not asking for any one to agree with me. It's just my .02 as a HUMAN BEING...

most def. anyone can give their opinions. These are forums after all, maybe they need to create a new system in fs/wtb/ft items? like on other vehicle specific forums some moderators demand a photo of the item with their handle/date posted next to the specific item before it can be sold otherwise it gets deleted.

i disagree with this statement rich. you shouldn't have to ASK for pics

1) people selling things should post them
2)yeah we all know how the TTE lip looks but noone knew his was "modified"! noone was even aware he drilled screws through it. it would be a different story if he had said or even mentioned that he had changed it, then YES i would say the purchaser shoulda asked for some pics BUT HE DIDNT say anything about it so why would you assume he had changed it?
3)this is why when people refuse to post actual pics up of the removed part, i wont buy them. for issues JUST like this
4)a deaths in the family don't excuse doing bad business or issues like this. how does a death in the family explain you wrapping a fragile CF wing in bubble wrap and just shipping it like that? or doing what he did to the TTE lip and not mentioning it?

and after all this....i would expect the OP to come in and talk to the 2 buyers but he hasn't so far. it is a little unfair were all jumping on him (yes including myself) but so far he hasn't chimed to fix or help out. no, i know every transaction wont flow flawlessly but if it doesn't i expect the seller to try and help rectify the situation

actually ALOT of forums do require things like this...a dated/sn labeled photo really does help out

I totally agree with this statement... regardless of what happen in his family yeah that sucks, but still doesn't excuse him for what his done, you want more buisness than you do a 100% job no matter what. it goes the same with a sale.

I agree with this^^^^

Yeah he might be going thru rough time right now... still i've email him and he still hasn't replied back, I call him and he doesn't return calls... so what does that tell you. He got his $$$ he doesn't give a ish about what we got from him... i'm in L.A. and his in NY it's a easy scam in his eyes.

He has pictures of the carbon fiber roof spoiler in perfect condition, and I get a broken one WTF!!!! as for theTTE lip it looks like it doesnt have any holes in the picture, and when CHIN recieved the lip it had holes in it... CHIN said that he failed to mention that to him... really!!!

I wouldn't fork over that much money unless I knew EXACTLY what I was buying.

Needless to say, it's both their fault - Mazda for not being more descriptive and posting pictures, and Chin for not asking for any after seeing Mazda hadn't posted any.

I will give the OP the benefit of the doubt because things do happen, but I have been doing the internet thing half my life and there always seems to be a death in the family or some other emergency after a seller has the buyers money but the buyer does not have the sellers product.

I bought the TTE lip based off the one picture he uploaded. I really wasn't concerned about the cosmetics of the lip because I knew it was poly and I knew that regardless I was going to re-paint it. The one pic he posted is too blurry to show close enough detail - but I seriously doubt that the screw holes are in the picture he posted. All I asked of the guy to make it right was to refund me 50.00 out of the 350.00 I paid for the lip due to the 4 screw holes. I thought that was fair.

We all know how rare it is to find a real TTE lip now so I jumped on it pretty quickly. I am in ATL and seller was in NY. I had someone pick up the lip for me in NY. So yes it is my fault for jumping the gun. But who on here can honestly say they have seen another TTE Lip mounted with 4 screw holes directly through the front of it? I wouldn't even do that to a replica lip much less the real deal.

And as someone else has stated, a stand up person would have come back in the thread and at least let us hear his side of the story? He hasn't returned my PM's either... either way, I will be OK, because those holes will be taken care of by some basic body work. I just hope PayPal takes care of the other buyer who got the roof spoiler shipped in bubble wrap. I am amazed UPS even accepted that as suitable packaging.

There's no need to even be concerned with his license plate, karma is a mother and what goes around certainly comes back around... I am just glad the rest of the board has taken a look at this thread to see what kind of guy he is. That was my main purpose in updating it.

I met Mazda a while back on 42nd by the Chinese consulate. seemed like an honest guy. Hopefully he will fix his problems with these members, other wise it would be a shame.

Sorry to hear of the situation. I know how it is to be jumpy on a sale. He should have mentioned how the screws were mounted in (unless I missed that part). Not to sound like an *** but I think you should suck it up. You said it yourself, it was a Face to Face transaction as you had someone pick it up for you in NY. It might have been a bigger deal if you weren't planning on repainting from the get go. But a Face to Face transaction is always the best bet. In this case that's what it was.

I have seen another TTE lip (silver with 3 screws) sold on here that was mounted the same way. That was clearly pointed out though.

But it's a shame for the other guy with the CF spoiler. That was very poor packaging. Might as well stuck the label right on the spoiler itself and shipped it off.

Yeah, I already sucked it up. Like I said, some simple body work will solve my problem. The transaction was face to face, but I was not the person picking it up. I actually had my father pick it up(knows nothing about a TTE Lip and how it should be installed) since I was in ATL and the lip was in NY. At the end of the day, I'm cool because the damage to the lip is easily fixed. Hopefully PayPal comes through for the other member who bought the roof spoiler. Like I said, my point of updating this was just to inform other members of what happened so they can be aware and smarter regarding certain transactions.

I called paypal and I'm excuse my language but I'm ****ed, they told me that they can't do anything about it since it wasn't a eBay transaction so I'm screwed... I agree with Chin this updated thread was just to inform other members... I will see if I can fix the CF spoiler but I doubt it, aside from that it really sucks that if indeed they can fix it I will have to pay more $$$ just to get it fix and that really sucks... If I would have known about this I would have save my $$$ and spend it on something else... Karma is ***** and what goes around comes around 10x harder.

Like I said b4 he hasn't tried contact me... and I doubt he will.
