Default Lexus GS400 Advice

Hello all! I am new to this forum and am finding a lot of useful information on Lexus ownership. I actually do not currently own a Lexus, but I am in search of a Lexus GS400, preferably between 1998 and 2000. The GS4's that I am finding within my price range on average are over 100k miles. I am looking for any advice as to what I should be looking out for in terms of maintenance. Is there maybe a list of items available that I should look for/ask about from sellers of GS4s of what has been changed/updated/not changed/etc so I may make the most informed decision when purchasing one? Some common things that I am finding is changing the water pump, timing belt, and serpentine belt. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

This doesn't belong in the classifieds. Good luck finding the car you want.

Post this in the 2Gen GS subforum. You'll get your answers, but do some search first.

Too bad we are soo far apart.. I am eager to sell as I have found a car I want. What are you looking to spend?

Check to see if the 90k service has been done. I believe that includes what you mentioned with the timing belt, water pump etc. Also, I would check to see if the starter has been replaced or if the car has any starter issues. The GS400 models were known for the starters going. I had mine replaced at 80k. Getting the starter replaced is not a cheap fix.
