i just received this wheel hrs ago:: from a member here in club lexus SleeperGS
well i bought this wheel thinking it will match my wood on my 1998 GS300 w/o e manage!!!

this is the link to the prior thread, i should of known since there was no reply from everyone trying to buy this in the beginning but i went for it!! trusted this guy that i would be satisfied with the results but i tried to work it out with this guy, and no luck!! says that i saw what i bought, and to deal with it..i know if i would of bought what i saw i sure wouldn't, but tried to look for the pics that were sent off, and they been removed..how?? i dont know!!
ask for him to resend them..but he doesn't have them, and that his email.can only go back so far...man my email..i can go back couple of years back...
so, i took pics of the arrival.....and close ups to my car...and its a big difference!!!

i don't know what GS has this wood but i asked him and he said 98 and UP gs without e manage!!!

i paid 230.00 shipped last week...i even asked him..to refund me 150.00 illl take the loss on this..for the fees and shipping what not...but he said he considers the sale FINAL.....

well whatever....its up forsale....again....

WTF????? WHAT COLOR IS THAT? I TOO HAVE A GS WITH TAN INTERIOR. I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE A WOOD STEERING WHEEL BUT OF COURSE IF IT MATCHED, YOU WOULD OF KEPT IT. SORRY BRO....BUTS DAMN THAT IS MESSED UP THAT HE WON'T REFUND YOU OR HELP YOU OUT.

i know guys that sucks...!!! i actually bought it thinking it was ok...since " HE HAD IT INSTALLED" on his GS...i really don't know who would do that if it look like this!!! sad part its that he posts here too!!!


but someone will have a GS with this wood!!! and my loss its their gain

not even a close match, make a thread in the buyer seller feedback forum so others will know. Did he tell you it would be a match? Im not sure any 2gen GS has that color wood

I know I have seen that color in a Lexus loaner car before and they always give a ES or RX.

Yea, it wouldn't match great for a steering wheel, I purchased a shift **** once in that color, it wasn't as bad of a mismatch though as it's generally shaded and low on the dash. The wheel would be under sunlight etc..which would just amplify the mismatch. I would leave some feedback about the buyer if he told you that was a matching wheel.

Btw: If you paid by paypal just dispute the sale and they will resolve it for you, if he sold you something that is obviously misrepresented then you should go after your money.

that's what i told him, i work at a stereo shop and we actually tint vehicles from lexus..and i see that wood on the New Gen GS and the ES series..

im about to also, not even close.... we really didn't talk about matching colors.." SINCE HE SAID IT WAS ON HIS GS" i asked for pics and he said he didn't have any... but i trusted him...i know... we really didn't talk about colors...i was assuming someone will put a steering close to match..im not looking for perfect..since fade and wear...but come' on...

Maybe try to sell in the ES forum? I am sure there are people out there that would be ok with that in their GS, but for most modders and enthusiasts that is just unacceptable. I hope you can sell it and recoup some if not all your money.

Ebay may not be a bad idea, if you are going to dispute it through paypal you should do it soon though. A dispute will take about a week or so to go through and you can cancel it at anytime. I would file asap and if you sell it or make other arrangements you can always cancel the dispute.
