pretty smooth for what it is..its cut springs..so u cant really expect much..if u had bilsteins or KYB's..im sure it would be pretty smooth..probably a lil bouncy at times..i had stock shocks and it was good for bout 2 months before it seemed like the shocks jus gave up on me

the cost? i dont kno..anyone can probably cut it themselves..so i would say its free to cut any spring..besides the costs of equipment u have to purchase to do the job
