Default Re: Master Cylinder Seller AHMAD3051 any problems?

I just bought a used Master Cylinder from him as he advertised in the CL classified and eBay as well. I chose ebay to pay so I can get insurance from Paypal. He quoted me first $195 shipped then changed it to $155 + $49 shipping = $204 which included his ebay fees which I did. Now he is saying the Master Cylinder weighs 50 pounds to ship and needs more money. It hard to believe it weighs this much unless there are other parts not mentioned. How much does this thing weigh and what are the estimated dimensions? If his quote is way off then I'll just ask for a refund and look around. Please reply.

Thanks, DanozLS430.....

Get a refund. He already changed the price on you once. You paid a little more and now he's trying to get even more. That's his problem for quoting you a wrong price.

Sorry can't help you with the wieght. I've only changed the master cylinder on an Acura/Honda and there's no way that thing wieght 50lbs. Packaging shouldn't weight that much either. A few lbs. maybe. You talking about the brake master cylinder right? Is the brake booster part of the sale? Either way, I'd get a refund.

Thanks for the info. By looking at the brake master cylinder it looks maybe 10 pounds at the most. If he includes the brake booster and other parts maybe 15-25 pounds total. He does not have any photos or want to take pictures of it. I don't think it is even removed from the car as he said he had to pay someone to remove the parts. I'm getting my refund now. Thanks for the advice.

I would recommend moving forward with getting your money back. If you have issues, please start a post in the buyer/seller feedback forum following the rules posted there.
