FS: 2001 OEM wood steering wheels
2001 GS OEM wood steering wheel. comes with e-shift and SINGLE STAGE airbag(!). may fit other models (buyers must determine if it fits their application). i'm not sure what the wood finish is offically called, but it has a slight reddish tinge to it and didn't quite match the wood in my 99 gs400, if that helps.
condition is 9.5/10. it's damn near perfect.
it's missing the 2 airbag mounting screws in the sides because i lost mine. just use your existing ones, or get them from lexus for a few bux.
letting this go for $900usd shipped OBO (within continental US and canada). i'm just throwing this number out to generate interest because i don't know what the current market value is since it's so rare. whoever gives me the best offer wins!

2001 tan rx300 OEM wood steering wheel (no airbag). will fit non e-shift GS and maybe other models. please check your application.
not so good condition... 5-6/10 because of scratches in wood clearcoat. leather wrapping is still good.
i had bought it for my parent's rx, but it came damaged this way and i couldn't get compensation or replacement from the seller, so it's been sitting in my closet for the last 4 years

Looks a bit more red than burled walnut. I bought the black one of these from this guy for 485 + 65 shipping. It looks good, I have not installed yet. It does not come with the airbag and all the guts you have to switch it all over. The airbag itself is big bucks. Maybe if someone buys it and doesn't need the airbag they can sell the airbag to offset the cost. Steering wheel from Lexpartsworld.com sells for $1603.38. And that may be just the shell like the one I bought.

when i bought it i was told it came from a 2001 GS. not sure what color of wood they had then, but it was more red than my 99 had, but no one really noticed the difference.
make a good offer and i may accept it!

...to be honest it is a very nice item and it is a very fair price! It has a single stage (?) airbag. If this is true then it fits the '98-'00 GS400! Sure you can buy the ebay ones for $300-$400 dollars but this is always without the airbag from what I have seen; and if you just so happen to have a '98-'00 GS400 you will need to "find" an '03 RX300 airbag because it too is a single stage airbag. If you can't find one used you will be paying $700+ from the dealer JUST for this single stage airbag to put into your "Ebay" steering wheel. This item leaves ALL the guess work out of the equation. I would be all over this like flies on S _ _ T if I had the cash now. GL Benjamin on the sale!

sorry for the late reply... it's been a hectic few days because i just finished stripping down my gs to be sold
people are telling me the wood is more "cherry" in color, or whatever it was back in 2001. the leather is black.
