Looking to trade someone for a black trunk w/o spoiler close to San Diego. I have a 98 GS300 trunk in good condition with spoiler. It's tagged with black pearl emblems and I would like to keep em, but I'm willing to work out something. Pic coming soon.

I'll be hitting up a body shop in a couple of weeks if trade doesn't go down and will post pics and list price.

Just wanted to update everyone on my trunk mission. I'm located in SoCal and went to a body shop I found on this web site. I went to:

I'm posting before and after pics of the spoiler removal and can't express how happy I am. I'm also having them install all my after market black chrome items from Luis at Carson Toyota. They also did at 200-300 hundred dollars below everyone who I called. Tell Mike you heard of them through this website and you'll be happy...Posting pics in the morn.

How much did they charge to remove it?

They charged 300 hundred and ironically it must have been an after market spoiler due to the fact I had a 3rd brake light. No prob's with the dash lights signaling a light out also.

You should have asked if he would have done a better deal w/ 2 people. I'm in Daygo too and want mine done. What was the down time?

In & out the same day. If multiple people want it done, I'm sure Mike will drop price. Heck, give him a call and try to name your price...can't hurt to ask.

that's really cheap. I was quoted 600 even if I removed the spoiler myself and just wanted them to prep, fill hole, and paint/blend.

and I have two 3rd brake lights too but have OEM spoiler installed by the dealership (even have paperwork). Could be the previous owner wanting a spoiler but added on later.

300 for filling, paint match/blend? did they weld the holes or did they bondo over it??

4play4dr, since it was done in the same day I'm pretty sure they used bondo, but I'll confirm answer tomorrow and check out pics to see how the paint job came out.

yea that would be great cuz i really would rather have it welded shut because i have a system and i dont want bondo to be cracking through the paint..let us know asap

I talked to Mike at Candy's and he said he did a little of both on mine and would do all weld for $50 more with maybe a little more depending on the color. Hope this helps.
