'01 Grille F/S
Hello fam,
Up for sale is a failed DIY Chrome Grille. I ended up leaving the paint remover on a little bit longer than instructed, ate right thru the chrome but did not eat the grille itself. So I had to buy a new one. Anyways, it's good for those that want to do a black out grille. All the screws are intact, no missing tabs. Just want to try and sell it here before trashing it. Asking $50.00 shipped or best offer. Let me know....thanks for any and all interests.

Good question....
Underneath is really hard to describe, so I'll give it my best shot. It's the mold of the grille, the plastic itself is yellowish green in color. The same color as fiberglass prior to painting. Hope that helps?

Yea, I left the KleanStrip on too long too, although not destroyed, some of the chrome got eaten away, especially in the rear of the grille. Underneath the chrome is basically grey plastic molding.
When you do a DIY for the chrome grille, I advise that you do small sections at a time, dividing the grille into at least 3-4 "smaller sections". This will save you time to really get the stock black paint off well without compromising the chrome itself. NEVER, let the KleanStrip sit on the grille for more than 3-4 mintues. If you must, just wash it off and use a little more on the parts that arent completely chrome yet.
Hold this helps for future DIY'ers.
