FS: K&N FIPK for 98-00 GS400 (NIB)
I'm selling my K&N Intake kit for the 98-00 GS400. It's brand new so it comes with everything you need to install the intake.
I do not have a picture of it, unless you want me to take a pic of the box itself. I will not open the box just to take pictures. I rather sell the intake in it's never-been-open-box condition.
I'm letting it go for the same price I paid for it. $205 shipped ($5 to cover for paypal) Local pickup in 714 area is $180.
PM me if you want it. Post here if you have any questions. thanks.

ttt.
I've gotten PMs with people low balling. This is a very low price considering they go for almost $300 retail and ebay sells it for around $260 shippped. The price is firm and any offer lower than what I'm asking will be ignored. C'mon guys..if you can afford to buy a lexus, you shouldn't have to be bargaining for a few bucks

I looked around and couldn't find any hard numbers on performance gains from the FIPK on the GS400. Does anyone have links to some dyno sheets with before/after numbers by chance? I've seen this for the SRT intake, and would be curious how the FIPK stacks up.
Thanks...sorry if it's a newb question.

Sure the SRT makes more power stock for stock, but if you add in an SAFCII into your car with the K&N, I'm willing to bet it can make as much power. A few have stepped from the K&N to the SRT and noticed little difference. But with the K&N/SAFCII combo, you can use the SAFC to tune your car (with the help of a dyno shop) after you get your exhaust system and other goodies. Not all cars are the same so fine tuning will yield you a good amount of power. The SRT piggyback doesn't account for any other mods you have on the car. The piggyback unit on the SRT is what gives it a good power gain, not the intake itself. Basically you want optimal air/fuel ratio, which is something you can obtain with an SAFCII and a good tuner.
The SRT is louder though so it'll sound more aggressive if that's what you want. the K&N already sounds pretty loud with wide open throttle. If you searched, many times I mentioned that I previously had an SRT intake. I sold that in favor for the K&N intake just because I plan to run an SAFCII later on and it'll be more useful than the SRT combo.
I'm going to dyno my car in April, but that's a long way ahead and I dont know if the intake will still be here .
