how easy is it to take out and replace the climate control?

Is the rearview camera compatible with the Eclipse 5435??Also how much modification needs to be done to the keyhole??Im very interested..Thanx

I wish I could give you all the steps to remove it but I had my shop do the install. I believe you have to remove your ash tray first to get to the radio bolts. Once you unscrew your 4 10mm radio bolts and pull the radio out, the climate unit will come with it. Just unplug the climate part. Again, I'm sure there is a couple more steps involved that I'm missing. It took LMS less than 20 mintues to do the install.

Edit: The top clock/vent piece has to be removed first my pulling it straight out.

I would imagine it would work with any aftermarket video headunit with a aux input or rear camera input. The camera itself just has RCA connectors. I had mine hooked up to my Pioneer monitor.

Also, after you remove your trunk lock, you will just have to remove a little bit of material to get the camera inside nice and snug. Then bolt the bracket to secure it. I used a small dremel to remove the material.

Was the Climate Control unit done by Lextech?

Correct. This unit was one of the first GS climate units to be done when Lextech was a vendor here last year. Super bright LEDs make this unit beautiful to look at. I believe there are only 2 of us with this mod that I know of.
