Unhappy Jacked foglamp

That's why I use hex screws... Seen a GS driving around with only one foglight and got the idea. That I did not want to be next. Try it, it will be much more difficult, guaranteed. But sorry to hear about that unfortunate theft. I hope the individual feels good about him/herself.

What does a hex screw look like? Maybe it's time for me to do that.

Sorry to hear about your loss makaila. Also, try to contact Aliga. He has LOTS of parts.

Talking foglight

It is in the shape of a stop sign... By using this, your chances of that happening again will depend on the culprit having the right timing, location, and last but not least... the exact size of the screw you are using. it's not like using a phillips or a flat head. you can easlily use anything that resembles the screwdriver... go to your local hardware store or home depot and get a couple of sets that match the thread size of the original screws that are used in the foglamps. but don't forget the hex key that is the corerct size. A couple of bucks and 30 mins will help you to hold on to your propert... Good luck.

Ahhh, I see. When you mentioned a hex key, I knew what you were talking about.

At first I thought the screw head was a hexagon shape where you need a ratchet or a wrench to open.

Just to confirm, a normal hex key is shaped like the letter "L" right?

You know what, I think this is a great idea. This will probably prevent your common thief from using a screw driver to get your fogs.

Cool foglight

Yup... Thats the idea my brother.... Most people are not common thieves... however, opportunity and invitations can make them one. Know what I mean??? And yes, the hex key is the L shaped one for Lexus.... Hehehehehehe. Corny I know. Anyway, glad you like the idea. Simple but cost effective I would say no>??? Everyone should do this. Matter of fact, I think I recalled seeing one single foglight on e-bay... better check it out man, it might be yours...

Anyone know what size the screw is for the foglights? The body shop lost all 4 of mine and I am thinking about doing the hex thing for security.

Good idea. I was going to buy some from the dealership but if I can find them in hex that will work great.
