i wouldn't put the GS430 flex on the SC430, it will fit but the damping and stuff isn't perfect for the car. plus the strut tower of the flex is higher and it will damage the lining of the hood. it's how close things are. and of course, you can forget about edfc on the flex too, it will probably hit the hood.
just get the cs for the sc430 imho

Whoa, everything I've read says the GS kit is the EXACT same kit as for the SC430, and it works perfectly, even with the EDFC...
Are all the other threads wrong?

I really don't want to make a mistake here and get the wrong kit.

well one thing fits physically doesn't mean it's really designed for the car. the GS and the SC has very similar frame structure as far as i know so the coilover fits one another i am not too surprised. however the SC is so much heavier and weight distribution, that might not make the setup really interchangeable.
basically, if the systems for GS and SC are really interchangeable, then according to the tein info on the lexus setup, why the CS for GS and SC have different part numbers, both for front and back? that means you need some different spring rate for both cars. if you look at the spring rate for SC and GS, you will see that the front is stiffer for that of the SC but the rear of the SC is actually softer than the GS. there must be a reason for that

and you might also want to talk to genearch about it. he had tein flex (GS) on his sc430 but now he has the CS. maybe he just wants the more comfortable ride i don't know though
and about edfc, the bottom line is, if you talk about fitting the edfc unit on the coilover, the edfc will fit on HA, CS, Flex, no problem, they are all the same setup. but when on tein page it says it's not applicable? from the source i know, the reason is that it just doesn't clear the hood. maybe if you take off the hood lining it will fit but i think right now it's just too tight.
the flex has a taller strut tower, so if anything, fitting the edfc over CS might have better chance than fitting that on the flex.
all these are my speculations only though, i don't have the car. but i hope i am making some sense
