‘The Other Side of Lexus’ at the 2015 L.A. Show

Aside from crazy concepts—of which there were regrettably few this year—the L.A. Auto Show is all about stock, consumer cars. But along with its display on the show floor, Lexus decided to bring along some custom models to spice things up a bit.

My personal favorite was the matte-Tyrian purple RX F Sport, which looks so awesome it should be a factory option. Given Lexus’ mid-size luxury SUV is essentially king of the segment, the royal hue is completely appropriate, and I think it’d be awesome to see Cookie Lyon from Empire roll up in one.

I also thought the wrapped IS 350—which one of the editors perfectly dubbed “Plum Sandstorm”—looked pretty slick, and of course, there was also the “bone-stock” LFA Nurburgring Edition, which doesn’t need any introduction.
