Automotive media outlets from around the world are picking their favorite cars of 2013. Taking a trip down under, the folks at Australia’s Drive.com.au have chosen the Lexus IS 300h as “Best Luxury Car Under $80,000”. At current exchange rates, AU $80,000 is $72,300 in ‘Merican money, but it must be noted, like most countries, Australian car prices are significantly higher than they are here in the United States.

Lexus IS 300h Specs 164 kW equals 220 horsepower, 221 Nm equals 163 lb-ft of torque, and 300 Nm equals 221 lb-ft of torque. 4.9L/100 km is approximately 48 mpg. The IS 300h would retail for an estimated $41,000 if it were available in the United States.
