2017 Lexus GS 350 F-Sport Wows Critics as ‘Perfect Performance Car’
Fast Lane Car praises sedan for being loaded with luxury and having the perfect amount of performance. And we couldn’t agree more.
The latest generation of the Lexus GS, which came out four years ago with a slew of new models, wears the Japanese automaker’s new design philosophy and is fitted with new technology that makes it an ideal blend of luxury and performance. The Fast Lane Car, got behind the wheel of a GS 350 F-Sport, the more athletic version of the sedan, to see if Lexus got the recipe right.
With the F-Sport branding, one would assume that the GS 350 F-Sport would be a sporty car, and TFLC found that the sedan is indeed on the sportier side of things. “The ride quality is exceptionally comfortable and the handling is indeed sport, with crisp, precise responses,” says the outlet. The 3.5-liter V6 engine, which produces 311 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque, also helps with the sporty feeling. “Acceleration from the 3.5-liter V6 is surprisingly rewarding for a relatively heavy luxury sport sedan,” says TFLC.
‘This latest iteration of the Lexus GS 350 F-Sport seems to have
finally gotten pretty much everything right.’
Besides the performance, the sporty GS 350 F-Sport looks great from the outside and, as TFLC put it, “is certainly the best-looking GS to come from the Lexus design team.” And for those that enjoy a sedan with an aggressive look, the F-Sport Package is the way to go, as it “adds bolder visual cues featuring bolder and more aggressively designer lower front and rear fascias…” with a few other exterior touches.
The interior of the GS 350 F-Sport is also a highlight of the sedan. “The interior ambience is most inviting and is particularly appealing,” says TFLC. The display is a high point for the sedan, as “The 12.3-inch multi-info display allows for a 3-way split screen for information.”

The Fast Lane Car had very little to complain about with the GS 350 F-Sport. And to summarize the vehicle, the outlet said, “This latest iteration of the Lexus GS 350 F-Sport seems to have finally gotten pretty much everything right.” The outlet claims the vehicle is “encroaching into BMW territory” with its great powertrain, “while being more luxurious.” Is there anything more that needs to be said? I don’t think so.
