The FT-1 is Even More Stunning in Person

Lots of writers like fall back on the crutch of mocking Toyota for making “beige” vehicles–but the company’s presence at SEMA was anything by restrained. There was some great product on display from all its divisions.
The most clueless major manufacturer at the show was probably GM. The company has–literally–a football field sized piece of prime real estate in the Central Hall of the Clark County Convention Center, but 90% of everything it presented was snooze-inducing.
That said the FT-1 in Toyota’s booth was not snooze-inducing. It’s a stunning piece of kit. I’m keeping my fingers crossed we see this baby built.
