All-New Lexus Concept Set for Tokyo Auto Show Debut
Lexus will show off 11 vehicles in Tokyo, including a brand new concept car scheduled for an October 25 unveiling.
We already knew that Lexus was going to go big at the upcoming 2017 Tokyo Auto Show. The automaker is planning on exhibiting its all-new flagship LS sedan at the 45th annual extravaganza, along with 11 other production models. But they’re also planning something much, much more exciting. How exciting, you ask? How about a brand new Lexus concept car?
Details surrounding the world premiere of this mysterious Lexus concept will be revealed on October 25, both in Tokyo and simultaneously through a press release. And since Lexus is playing the tease here, we can only speculate as to what this new concept will be. Could it be something as simple as an LC convertible, or as exciting as an LC F?
There have also been rumblings that the new, three-row Lexus crossover may debut in Tokyo. Other possibilities include a production ready UX crossover, next-gen CT, or even a new ES sedan. The latter, based on the Toyota Camry, is bound to surface soon and a mule already been spied testing.
Then again, since the LS is taking center stage at Lexus’ home base, maybe they’re planning on rolling out the LS F beside the new sedan. This would most likely make the most sense. Especially when you consider the mysterious, very realistic picture of one that surfaced recently. Which was accompanied by the rumor that the hot range topper would debut in Tokyo.
No matter what Lexus concept shows up in Tokyo, it’ll be flanked by an impressive new and refreshed lineup. Alongside the new LS, we’ll see the LC coupe and the updated CT and NX for certain. However, Lexus is mum on the other six vehicles it intends to bring along. Stay tuned!
