2018 Lexus NX 300h

NX 300h, brand take home top honors in IntelliChoice’s Premium category for low overall cost of ownership, retained value.

Wherever a Lexus goes, eyes are sure to follow. The luxury, the performance, the style, no one will mistake the brand for anyone else, especially when they head over to their nearest dealership to join the tribe of Lexus fans.

And the best part? They won’t regret making that choice. Motor Trend and IntelliChoice recently unveiled their winners of the 2019 Best Overall Value Awards, with Lexus pulling a hat trick in the Premium category.

2017 Lexus NX 300h

First off, the NX 300h took home the title of Best Overall Value Premium Vehicle, beating out the Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman for the top spot; that alone should be worth a few bragging points around your Porsche-owning friends. IntelliChoice adds that the RX 350 took home fifth, and that the NX 300h has a total ownership cost of just $42,325, several thousand dollars less than the crossover’s expected $48,627.

Lexus’s second gold medal came in the Best Overall Value Premium Brand category, beating Volvo and Cadillac with its fine selection of models, including the aforementioned NX 300h and RX 350, plus the UX 250h, UX 200, and ES 300h. That’s what happens when Toyota’s classic build quality shines through above the others.

And when it comes time to sell your Lexus, you’ll get a lot back on the sale. The brand was IntelliChoice’s Highest Retained Value Premium Brand, taking the third and final gold with an average score of 50.53 percent. The average beats out those of Volvo (46.15 percent) and BMW (45.27 percent). Guess it’s time for Lexus to make room on its shelves of awards and accolades.
