Lexus has just released pricing for the RC F coupe in the UK, along with the prices for the Carbon package. No word yet on what buyers here in the States will pay for the new sports coupe, but it’d be reasonable to expect a slight price break from what our friends across the pond will have to cough up.

There will be two models, the first is the base RC F which will cost 59,000 pounds, and the RC F Carbon will cost 67,995 pounds. Converted from weirdo UK money, it comes out to be a heck of a lot of money, around the $90k area. That starting price though is around four thousand more than the comparable M4 Coupe which it’s going up against.
The BMW M4 has been widely viewed as a epically great car, so that’s some mighty big shoes it needs to take down once released, especially given the price premium.
The base model will have all the trimmings you expect, navigation, heated and vented seats, LED lights, 19in forged alloy wheels, an active rear spoiler to help produce real down force, and massive Brembos at each corner. Moving up to the Carbon adds–surprise!–a bunch of interior carbon components, Alacantara upholstery, and a torque vectoring rear differential to make sure you’re always pointed in the right direction.
According to Lexus, this is the first time the tech has been used on a front-engine, RWD platform.
There aren’t any driving impressions yet, but the weight saving carbon bits should put a decent dent in the curb weight and translate to even better performance. Carbon buyers will get a fully carbon fiber hood, a carbon fiber roof to keep the center of gravity low, and a carbon fiber trunk and spoiler. In short, some of the knowledge gleaned from producing the LFA has started to trickle down the product line–and that’s awesome. Stay tuned for updates as we get more info.
