U.S. News & World Report Tabs Lexus NX 2017 ‘Best Luxury Compact SUV for the Money’
If you want the most bang for your buck and you’re in the market for a luxury compact SUV, look no further than the Lexus NX. U.S. News & World Report named the NX its 2017 “Best Luxury Compact SUV for the Money,” an award it also won in 2016. It’s quite a coup for Lexus in the rapidly expanding and hotly contested segment.
The Lexus NX scored a win thanks to its long-term value and good overall rankings. U.S. News specifically cites the NX’s typical Lexus quality, an upscale interior, comfortable seats and solid handling. But those qualities aren’t exclusive to high-dollar vehicles, as the NX also presents excellent value. With a low price tag and a low cost of ownership, the NX represents a great financial decision as well.
U.S. News also praises the NX’s “composed” ride, with steering that is both responsive and accurate. Front seats are said to be supportive, and rear leg and headroom is better than most in its class. Also noted are the plethora of technology features and overall aesthetic feel of the interior. Add in a five-star safety rating and you’d be hard pressed to find a better vehicle for the money.
But the NX wasn’t alone. Lexus is tied with Honda for the most cars (three) on the 2017 “Best Cars for the Money” list. The ES scored a win as the “Best Luxury Midsize Car,” joined by the RX 350 as the “Best Luxury Two-Row SUV.” It’s quite a coup for Lexus, and further proof that the automaker’s offerings represent the best value on the market today.
