Lexus IS Build Is a Blue Mica Beauty
After nearly two years and countless changes, this incredible Lexus IS build just keeps getting better.
The Lexus IS remains one of our most favorite cars, even today. And it’s safe to say that Club Lexus members love them, too. After all, you see more amazing Lexus IS builds in the forums than any other model, and for good reason. With a few tweaks, these compact four-door sedans look absolutely amazing. But when it comes to the best-of-the-best, it’s hard to top Gerxiong89‘s Blue Mica IS. And he documented the entire build process right here for our enjoyment!
The whole thing started less than two years ago, when the OP picked up a bone stock 2016 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport. But he wasted no time turning it into the ride of his dreams.
First up on the list was a Magnaflow axle-back exhaust and RSR springs. Then a front lip off eBay. A modest trunk spoiler added to the car’s sporty appearance, as did a set of new fog lights. Progress after which comes slowly but steadily, with yellow painted calipers and a set of spacers.
To give the Lexus IS a little more performance and better sound, a GReddy intake went on and the OP performed a muffler delete. But it was the air suspension that made one huge visual statement!
The next step was a set of Megan arms, which might as well go on since the OP decided to swap out the stock wheels with custom white Devilworks pieces. And they looked pretty darn good…for a while!
Next, the OP removed all the factory chrome for a cleaner look. A Bella trunk and Seibon lip only added to that effect. But he wasn’t done yet. Little by little, subtle tweaks helped make this Mica Blue Lexus IS look even better. But we think the latest mods make this slick ride better than ever!
“Sold my Aimgain rear diffuser and Tommy Kaira axle-back mufflers and went with a TOMS diffuser and Invidia axle-back off an RC 350. Sold my SSR and went with some 18-inch TE37 Saga wheels. Also hydro dipped my engine bay covers blue with gold marble and gold center cf.”
At this point, we’re not sure what the OP can do to make his incredible Lexus IS any cooler. But judging by what he’s done so far, we’re not betting against him. Be sure and stay tuned for future updates (and catch up on progress so far) by heading over here!
