Lexus Confirms an Onslaught of New Vehicles for 2015
It’s not news that Lexus has been going through a rebirth, and 2015 finds the company charging headlong into battle with the Germany’s performance icons.
Keen to continue its recent inroads, the company is preparing and onslaught of new things to come during the next year—it’s a good time to be a Lexus fan.
In an interview with Lexus Enthusiast Lexus VP Jeff Bracken, said the company will have an epic 2015.
“In addition to the four new or mid-cycle product refreshes that I revealed at the show this morning, there will also be an all-new generation introduction later this year, a special edition like the Crafted Line, and we’re going to drop turbo engines into multiple vehicles.”
The new model is certainly the 2016 Lexus RX set to debut in New York, while the refreshes could be anything from a new IS, to a new GS which is more likely since the base model needs to come into line with the GS F.
What’s perhaps most interesting is the introduction of turbo models. Most likely the new RX will receive one of these, but what else in the Lexus lineup could get one? RC? IS? Who knows? It’ll makes for a real surprise when Lexus finally debuts them.
Stay tuned—both the Chicago and New York Auto Show are just around the corner!
