Latest Point Standings Reveal New Leaders
| DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – The Grand-Am Cup Street Stock Series released its latest point standings following last weekend’s VIR Three-Hour Race at Virginia International Raceway. The series’ first of two visits to the track this season brought about lots of movement in the standings, including new team and driver leaders in two of the four classes. |

The leads in the manufacturer standings remained the same with the exception of the GS I class where Porsche took the lead from Chevy. Porsche also increased its GS II standing from third to second place, bumping BMW down a position. However, BMW maintained its top spot in the ST I class. The ST I second and third positions flipped with Acura now leading Lexus. Acura closed the gap on first, trailing BMW by only four points. Acura also maintained its lead in the ST II standings and increased its lead over Mazda from 12 to 21 points.
Grand-Am Cup will next race in the CART Grand Prix at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, Aug.8-10.
