Japanese Dream: Amazing Pictures from Happo-en Garden
The schedule in Japan has been fairly tight, and um, really, really long. I’ve been meeting up with the Lexus folks and the press gang in the lobby at about quarter to eight, and we generally get back to the hotel sometime after nine.
Fortunately, plenty of stops on the schedule featured food and and booze–and Toyota’s Tokyo Motor Show Welcome event last night was no exception. But while the sushi was melt-in-your-mouth fantastic, it was the setting that was the star of the show here. Happo-en Garden was the residence of an assistant–a PR guy, essentially–to a Shogun, and it’s a stunning place. Some of the group actually bailed on this event because everyone is feeling a little crushed by jet lag, The company representative you make the journey over to Japan all the time say the second day is the worst, and after a good night sleep I’m actually feeling pretty good.
