California Cops Crush Lexus IS-F for Street Racing

By -

Apparently, the owner of this Lexus IS-F was caught street racing and had his car crushed. While this seems completely unreal, we know California police have done this before. But in the other crush videos, all the cars still had their wheels, and here they’re missing, along with some other components. Video after the jump.

One of the common questions from enthusiasts who’ve seen this happen concerns why these cars aren’t auctioned off, and it’s an excellent one. Our understanding is that cars sentenced to the crusher have parts which appear stolen on them, so they can’t be sold. Still, this practice seems like overkill, and probably leads to more drivers attempting to flee the police, which isn’t what anyone wants.

So is this the lamest thing you’ve ever seen, or what? Head over to the Forum and sound off!
