Grand-Am Cup Teams Featured in Commericals, Car Shows and Magazines This Month
| DAYTONA BEACH, Florida – While all the Grand-Am Cup teams have been busy with race preparations, some teams’ schedules have been extra packed as they participate in both on-track and off-track events. In-between races, three Grand-Am Cup teams have crammed a little more into their schedule and this month will be highlighted on television, in magazines and in car shows. |

Team Lexus Goes Hollywood Just before running at Watkins Glen International last month, Team Lexus was out in Hollywood filming a television commercial for the Lexus IS300 and invited Sport Touring I rival Villaconn International to join them. The commercial, titled “5th & Elm”, will begin airing on network television next week on Monday, July 22nd and is scheduled to air through Sunday, August 4th. It features Team Lexus drivers Chuck Goldsborough and Andy Lally and Villaconn driver Al Villamil. You can catch the first broadcasts of the commercial featuring Team Lexus next week on:

It will be fun to hang out with so many really enthusiastic sport compact owners and fans,” said driver Wayne Nonnamaker. Enthusiasts of the new Sport Compact scene will be treated to a full night of cool cars and hot sounds, with the action kicking off with a judged Compact Car Show. The event will also include a National dB Drag event series competing to see whose car has the best stereo decibel system and a neon lights contest. Shark Sighting in Motor Trend Hyundai Motorsports is featured in the July issue of Motor Trend magazine in a side-by-side comparison of its #6 Hyundai Tiburon from Grand-Am Cup and the new 2003 Hyundai Tiburon slated for release later this year. While testing at California’s Buttonwillow Raceway Park, the Hyundai team invited Motor Trend over for a test drive in its race car.
