The annual Goodwood Festival of Speed weekend is just around the corner and festivities start this Thursday, July 11. This year  Lexus will officially participate in this famous hill climb on the grounds of the Goodwood. The Goodwood Estate is located in southern England just 60 miles south of London.

Without a doubt Formula 1 is the pinnacle of auto racing and there’s no question that the Formula 1 race car inspired Lexus LFA has paved the way for a new Lexus experience. A natural fit, 1980 Formula 1 World Champion Alan Jones recently drove the 2014 IS at the Sydney Motorsports Park in Australia.

Lexus has become synonymous with many prestigious awards and J.D. Power & Associates has recently given them another. For the sixth consecutive year, the Lexus LS reigned supreme (59 problems per 100 vehicles) in the Initial Quality Study for the Large Premium Car Segment.

Since the beginning of the IS line in 2000, enthusiasts have coveted BMW’s 3 Series Coupe for ages. Even Mercedes Benz and Audi have followed suit with a coupe variant of their luxury compact sport sedans. Top Speed has recently rendered a version of what a 2015 IS based coupe could look like.

Lexus has announced a partnership with the Tony Hawk Foundation to create a fan-based decal to affix on the IS F CCS-R. The Circuit Club Sports Racer will compete in the Exhibition Class of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb for the second time by pro driver Ken Gushi.
