Build a Killer RC F with $6k and the Club Lexus Marketplace

Lexus RC F

Can you really enhance both the looks and performance of a Lexus RC F with just six grand? We set out to find out.

Builds – they’re everywhere in the Club Lexus forums. We just can’t seem to leave our stock rides alone around here, and for good reason. Most every Lexus model is just begging for a little customization, whether it be in the form of appearances or performance. But there’s just one problem. If you’ve priced out parts lately, you already know most of the good stuff isn’t exactly cheap. So what’s a wannabe baller on a budget to do? Well, head to the Club Lexus Marketplace and look for some bargains, that’s what.

Perusing the many listings in the new Marketplace gave us that very idea. What if we had, say, a Lexus RC F and about $6,000 in cash to spend? Could we possibly make what is already a pretty sweet car even sweeter? Armed with a desire to make a mass production car our very own, we headed to the Marketplace in search of some good stuff.

And we certainly found it. Starting with a sweet set of Bronze Volk TE37 Ultra wheels. Measuring in at 20×9.5 up front and 20×11 in the rear, these particular wheels are made just for the RC F and GS F. And did we mention they look great? As expected for such a nice set of shoes, these wheels will set us back a cool $3,400. But that’s no problem here.

To get our RC F sitting on top of those new wheels, we need some fresh aftermarket coilovers. And we found them here in the form of some brand new BC pieces for $900. The same seller just so happens to also have a Lexon Exclusive front splitter to add a little extra something to the front of our Lexus for the bargain price of $480. Toss in $850 for an Invidia catback exhaust, and our RC F will be sounding as good as it looks.

Of course, we couldn’t touch on appearances and performance without doing a little something on the inside. So how about a red DCTMS steering wheel? For $375, this nice little accent piece is a no-brainer that’ll also vastly improve your driving experience.

And just like that, you’ve got a pretty cool and unique RC F for the paltry sum of $6,005. And with 99% brand new stuff to boot. But that’s the beauty of the Club Lexus Marketplace. It’s there that you can score not only hard to find stuff, but also find some great bargains on it, too.
