Aussie Lexus Dealership Buys Batch of IS-F racers

If you’re in Brisbane anytime soon, make sure to stop by the Lexus dealership there. You’ll certainly be greeted by the normal show room fare, but if you’re lucky, you might be able to check out their newest arrivals: A triplet of IS-F based race cars.

The cars were originally built for Super Stars series in Italy. The series pits production based touring cars against each other, including the IS-F. Lexus’ speedy sedan duked it out against Audis and Porsches until this Lexus dealer snapped them up, and brought them to Australia.

It probably wouldn’t require a lot of work on the part of the dealership to get the cars in shape for the Australian V8 Superstars series. It has similar specifications to the Italian championship regarding regulations. I think the Australian series could use a little bit of shaking up. The Holdens and Fords are fast an all, but it’d be nice to some new blood in the mix.
