Amazing New GS 300h Commercial
Since the introduction of the Lexus brand in the homeland, Lexus has been creating specific commercials to appeal to the Japanese Domestic Market. With the recent global launch of the GS 300h, Lexus Japan has produced a pretty unique and theatrical approach for this TV spot. Computer graphics, old school black lights and pure driving skills are key ingredients in the making of this epic new GS ad.
The commercial starts off with the GS creeping quietly on a dark roadway as the car is highlighted with an electrical glow to signify the car running in pure electric hybrid mode. As soon as the pedal is to the metal, the Hybrid Synergy Drive powertrain roars to life. The GS Hybrid accelerates out towards the “Amazing” path ahead.
Lexus Japan enlisted director Manjot Bedi, a gentleman of Indian descent who speaks fluent Japanese to direct the story. Lexus brand ambassador, renowned Japanese race car driver and author, Takayuki Kinoshita is the driver who carefully steers and drifts this GS in this commercial.
Sadly we do not get the GS 300h in North America nor do we get the function of LED foglamps on the GS F SPORT in this video but its very interesting to see how this commercial was put together.
