Make Room

Over the past several years, crossovers and SUVs have completely taken over the title of the most popular vehicle type among American shoppers, not to mention many Europeans as well. The reason for this, of course, is that SUVs offer a higher ride height that many prefer, along with room for more passengers and cargo. For those looking to maximize their cargo-carrying capacity, these five Lexus models have the most to offer, too.

Lexus RX

First up, we have the Lexus RX, a mid-size, two-row crossover that is 192.5 inches long, 75.6 inches wide, 67.3 inches tall, and has 29.6 cubic feet available behind the second row. That figure isn't the best in this class by a long shot, but given the sales success the RX has enjoyed, that doesn't seem to matter much to shoppers in this space, at least.

Lexus RZ

Next up, we have the all-electric two-row Lexus RZ, which measures in at 189.2 inches long, 74.2 inches wide, and 64.4 inches tall, with cargo space behind the second row of seats coming in at 34.9 cubic-feet. That's a pretty notable figure - even for an EV crossover, which tend to have more interior space overall - and good news for prospective shoppers.

Lexus GX

The new-for-2024 Lexus GX can be had in two-row Overtrail or three-row guise in other trims, and measures 197.05 inches long, 83.2 inches wide, and 75.4-76.2 inches high. Opting for the Overtrail nets one 45.6 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, while three-row models lose a bit of room thanks to that extra seat, coming in at 40.2 cubic feet.

Lexus LX

Moving up to the full-size SUV ranks means that shoppers will find much more cargo space in the Lexus LX, which is 200.5 inches long, 78.3 inches wide, and 74.2-74.6 inches high. Cargo space behind the second row of seats comes in at 46 cubic feet for most models, though those that opt for the opulent Ultra Luxury edition get a bit less at 41 cubic feet.

Lexus TX

Finally, we have the new three-row Lexus TX, which is the longest SUV in the lineup at 203.5 inches, coupled with 78.3 inches of width and 70.1 inches of height. That nets owners a significant 57.4 cubic feet of cargo space, which helps explain why the TX has been so popular with shoppers thus far.
