yes.. the IS and GS have the same bolt pattern... i have rocked my boys stock gs 17s on my IS.. and i have seen many GS' with IS rims... im not sure if the offset is the same tho... but its gotta be pretty damn close.... if anything... i wouldn't put GS rims on an IS... but im pretty sure IS rims will go on a GS with ease.... but not 100%...

the rear offset is +55mm
im still trying to find out the front... its probably +45... but i will find out exactly..

for GS most rims are about +40 to +44 offset. higher offset would fit but it's not as aggressive

thanks for the info.... i know the rears have a high offset so i could get the largest lip possible without rubbing in the rear... remember they are 9.5 in the back... with about a 2.5 inch lip

Rominl -

So....the higher the offset...the farther out and away the hub mounting plate from the center of the rim....right?

In this case....if these iForged (rear) wheels at 19x9.5 have a lower offset than the +55mm (say +40mm)....the rear polished lip would be huge? If so, is that safe? Would that be more vulnerable to denting if you hit a pothole? Are these polished lips forged as well?

Pete

PHML,

you have it opposite.

the higher the offset, the more the wheels get tucked under
the car...

the lower, the more the wheels stick out.

Isnt that the same thing? "The higher the offset...the farther out and away the hub mounting plate from the center of the rim"....thus.... as you said, "...the more the wheels get tucked under the car...".

How is this opposite?

no... the higher the offset, the closer in the outer part of the rim will be.... make sense?? so if i went with a lower offset then +55, like a +45, then the rim will more then likely stick out past my wheel wells...

yup, the higher the offset, the more the wheel get stuck inside the wheel well. that's why as you increase the width of the wheel, you need to get higher and higher offset
