The wheels have NO bends or cracks in them and were on my car for 5000 miles. There is no paint chipping or fading. There are some nicks on the outer lip from when the tires were shipped to me. The shipper stacked the boxes on top of each other and the stainless lip has very small divits in various places. It’s hard to see and Vossen has a pressed in stainless lip over the actual wheel so there is no dings on the wheel itself; it’s just cosmetic. See the pictures to see what I’m talking about. There is also only one 3” curb mark which was very, very, light but I want to disclose everything (pictured below). So saddely they are not perfect, but the issues are minor and this is the lowest price you will find on authentic Vossen wheels for the SC430.
So what does a pressed lip mean exactly? Are they easy to repair. I hadn't noticed the indentations in the lips until I re-read this post.
They press a stainless steel lip ontop of the acutall lip of the rim. The part you see, thats shiney, thats not actually part of the rest of the wheel. Like a 3 piece wheel kinda.
