the center (silver), they painted it silver and then there is clear coat on top. the lips, i don't know whta you ordered, but mine doesn't have clear coat so i can polish it as much as i want. and with clear coat it's actually not as good coz' over time they will get dull for sure. just a matter of time.
and i just do what i can like i said in the post. wash once a week, polish them when i think they starting to get dull. for centers, just use light soap water to wash them and dry them carefully. i didn't even wax the wheels. and nop, no film on the wheels, sometimes the heat could be tremendous i think
