Default Aggressive fit for 1st gen RX

Anyone here know anyone running an aggressive fit on the first gen RX? So far the most aggressive offset I've found is 20x9 +24. I'm going to try 20x10 +20 all the way around if possible with 255/40R20.

Not sure about fitment on the RX, but the 20x10's will stick out 6/10's of inch more.

So I was doing a little test fitting on the RX today and it looks like I can run 10" all the way around. I'm gonna run a +30 front and +15 rear. Now the debate I have now is weather I'm going to run the 255/40R20 or 275/40R20. I'll be doing the test fit tomorrow. I'll keep you guys posted with some pics.

well I wouldn't quite call it VIP Style or even VIP influenced. I just want to kit it and bag it

This is actually the rough end result I'm going for without the the lame chrome wheels. Now this setup is running 22x9.5 with 255/35R22. I will be going 20" as I'm not a fan of super skinny tires on SUV's nor do I want to compromise the ride comfort by too much. I just mounted the 275/40R20 on the rim today and from what I can see it still looks kinda beefy on the sidewall, I'll be doing the test fit tomorrow morning.

I guess the best thing about working at a wheel and tire shop is that I get to test and try out s#!t without having to buy to it yet LOL

That's a sweet looking RX there. Nicer wheels will make a huge difference. Good luck!

Great news! I just fit the 20x10 all the way around with 275/40R20 and everything clears perfectly. I was running 20x10 +35 Front and 20x10 +15 rear. This setup cleared the struts by about 2mm front and rear. The down side is that it poked about 5-10mm or so. But being a SUV at its current height it looked fine, and even with staggered offsets it was a even poke all the way around too which I'm glad about. I'm very surprised there was no rubbing in the front while turning.

For anyone planning on running a similar setup with 22" and prefers the lower profile tires I recommend 22x9.5 +35 front and 22x9.5 +20 rear with 255/35R22 or 265/30R22

NOTE: You cannot go higher offsets with these sizes as they will touch the strut towers. I take no responsibility for anyone's own personal modifications

Anymore pics????? Such a tease!!

I have a set of Work LS105's sitting waiting for another test fit so I can get tires for them. I have an RX 330 though and the offsets are F 21x9+26 and R 21x10+39. Fearing the rears will need spacers and the wheels are gonna stick out when mounted

I just grabbed those wheels from the showroom as a test fit. They were some ugly DUB's

I'm not a persoanl fan of chrome but the LS105's would look wicked on a RX. But not sure if its such a great idea to stagger the rims on AWD. And you definitely will need a spacer for the rear. If you are going 10" wide you will need a +15 offset to clear the rear suspension and will poke out of the fender.

I finally got around to order up the wheels for the RX. I went with a set of Vertini Hennessey 20x10 +35 all the way around with a 20mm H&R spacer in the rear so I can still rotate. I know they are not "VIP" but I still think they look pretty sharp I'll post up some pics once they are on the vehicle

EDIT: So it turns out there is a pretty major flaw in the lug nuts that came with the spacers
BEWARE H&R Spacer Lug Nuts

Nice! Oh btw I am on air suspension now so the LS105's really shine close to the fender.

Your wheels look nice. Installed yet?

It's probably gonna be a couple weeks before I install them. It's still pretty cold where I am. There's no snow on the ground anymore but they still salt the roads, so I don't wanna cause any damage or corrosion/oxidization. But I might just slap 'em on at my shop to see how they look on the car and snap a few pics we'll see

The Fabulous RX shown in that pic is badass! My only problem with that setup is that he's running 255/35R20 (27.0" Overall diamerter) which is a passenger car size and super short and would throw off the speedo and would look really awkward unless you're slammed to the ground which I not planning (just a mild drop). Another major concern is that the OEM tires has a load rating of 101 where as a 255/35R20 ranges only from 93-97 load rating, being thats its really low profile and under load this would easily cause the tire to blow out or get a buldge in the sidewall.

I'll be running a 275/40R20 which would be tire height/width for a 10" wide. If I lower it I may switch to a 275/35R20 maybe 255/40 but I'm not a fan of stretched tires in SUV's
