Default 22's

I have a 93 ls400. I was curious to know if 22 inch rims would fit on it?

No, 22's will not fit. 20 is the biggest you can put on, but the LS 430 can handle 21's

why can the LS430 fit 21's and not the LS 400? I thought they were basically the same exept performance upgrades in 430.

I agree! I think if you cannot run the wheels and a lowered suspension (which you HAVE to have if you run 20s and up) then they are TOO big!!! i.e. a pic of a M/B SLK on 20s that I saw!! just plain stupid (if you dont believe me, cruise over to mbworld.org, and look in the CLK section!) The only passenger car that I know of that can handle 22s and a drop is a BMW 745i, conversely, i saw a pic of a Dodge Intrepid with 22s, it looked like a monster truck!!

Just my .02

Dude, the is a whole lot that changed from the 93 LS to a 2003LS. A lot.

If you don't have a 745, IMO anything above 20" looks damn stupid on any car. Just today I saw a 1995 or so Infiniti I30 with 20s, The Giovanna star crap and the car looked so stupid it was ridiculous.

some guy posted a picture of a burgany LS with 21" and it looks wildly goofy. don't understand how going from 20" to 21" makes such a difference, but hot damn! it sure does for the worse. if you want the bling look, a good set of 20" will do it.

will 18's or 19's look too small on a LS400? And when i see somebody say "staggered" setup does it mean that they have 18's in front and 19's out back? or do they have the same diameter wheel front and back but different widths?

Staggered means diff widths. And for most people, this involves a larger rear lip. For instance 18x8.5 front, 2 inch lip, 18x10 rears 4 inch lip.

I don't think 18s or 19s look to small on a LS. This way, you also keep some of that Lexus quality ride. I would recommend at least a 1" drop so it looks better.

That wheel ties in with the overll style of your car 100,000,000 times better!! They look larger than 19 as well. Its funny that a car designed in 1988 looks so smooth in 2003!! Just a kit, a drop, and some rims! Its all you need!
